WMA Monthly Zoom Chat – July 9, 2026

WMA hosts a monthly Zoom Chat on the second Thursday of each month. These informal discussions focus on timely and relevant issues affecting the manufactured housing industry. Best of all, this member benefit is free, and no registration is required.

Each session features special guest speakers who provide valuable insights and participate in a live question-and-answer discussion with attendees.

Our next Zoom Chat will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, and will feature special guest Kevin Hootman from the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). Kevin will discuss current HCD-related issues and answer questions from participants during an interactive Q&A session.

About The Presenter

Kevin Hootman 
Kevin Hootman is a dedicated housing professional with extensive experience in field operations, inspections, and regulatory enforcement. He began his career as a Building Inspector for the greater Orange County area before transitioning to HCD’s Occupational Licensing Unit as a Criminal Investigator. In 2019, Kevin was promoted to Senior Administrator of the Southern Area Office for Codes and Standards, where he oversees critical regulatory and compliance operations.

Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time with family, riding his Harley-Davidson, playing golf, and off-roading in his Jeep.
