California EPA Pesticide rules
The California EPA Pesticide rules apply to all of California businesses. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) sheets are only a small part of the EPA requirements because they only change the name of Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) documents, and most manufacturers have not yet prepared the SDS replacement documents for their products.
Under EPA requirements, you must maintain a binder that contains the N-1 to N-10 documents, training of employees, and for each chemical the label and SDS (formerly MSDs).The N documents describe the EPA requirements but there are no EPA forms to show compliance. Individual Counties have prepared sheets to help business document their compliance. Listed below are EPA County references in case some Counties use a different form, but Shasta County claims their forms are generic and can be used in all other Counties.
