Your support is needed for WMA sponsored eviction bill
Attention Members: WMA needs your help immediately to encourage the passage of Senate Bill 470 (Stone).
WMA is sponsoring Senate Bill 470 by Senator Jeff Stone. SB 470 allows park management to evict a homeowner more quickly than the 60 days under current California law in order to protect those law-abiding residents in the park. SB 470 will be heard soon and WE NEED YOUR HELP.
Please take a moment and send a letter of support to the author, Senator Jeff Stone. The letter can be brief. We would also appreciate it if you would also send a copy to the WMA office, c/o Catherine Borg, 455 Capitol Mall, Suite 800, Sacramento, CA 95814.
We’ve provided a brief sample letter below and encourage members to add specific examples to lend support, especially in the case of evicting threatening residents. We’ve relayed stories detailing police and SWAT team interventions, drug raids, resident v. resident fights, death threats, etc. but legislators want to hear from YOU.
Please note: If members are interested in coming to Sacramento to share their personal stories on this important matter before the Senate Judiciary Committee, please email WMA Legislative Advocate Catherine Borg at catherine@ wma.org.

RE: SUPPORT FOR SB 470 (Stone) – Eviction for extreme misconduct
Dear Senator Stone:
I support your bill, SB 470. This bill promotes safe and livable manufactured home communities by authorizing park management to evict residents who’ve committed egregious acts in a much shorter time frame.
[INCLUDE A RELEVANT STORY IF APPROPRIATE]
Sincerely,
