FERA (Family Electric Rate Assistance) Program Household Income Guidelines
For electricity customers of:
PG&E
SDG&E
SCE
The FERA (Family Electric Rate Assistance) program is available to Edison, PG&E and SDG&E electric customers. FERA is for households of three or more people with total income that falls between 175% and 250% of the federal poverty limits.
Qualifying households are charged the Tier 2 electric rate for Tier 3 usage. (Usage exceeding Tier 3 is billed at Tiers 4 and 5, as per usual.)
Instructions: Take the number of people in the household that live there more than 50 percent of the time and add up their incomes from all eligible sources (see list below table). The total combined annual income should be less than or equal to the amount shown in the table.
