Riverside County Ordinance 787 passed on 2/28/11
As of April 30th, 2011 all Mobile Homes, Manufactured Homes, & Multi-Family Manufactured shall be required to have an Automatic Residential Fire Sprinkler System installed as required by Ordinance 787. The requirement for the installations will be based on the manufacturers’ date of completion of the specific unit. Any Home manufactured before this effect date will not be required to comply with these requirements. Butte County
On 4/12/11 the Butte County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to maintain the exemption for
mobile and manufactured homes from thc County's fire sprinkler
requirement. This exemption applies to the unincorporated areas of the
County. See CMHI's related bulletin.
San Bernardino County
See CMHI Bulletin on 3/31/11 – clarification from the San Bernardino County Fire Department (SBCFD) regarding the ordinance requiring fire sprinklers in
manufactured homes and multi-family manufactured homes installed in
the unincorporated areas over which the County has jurisdiction.
