Hotel Scam Alert!

Please remember, if you receive a phone call from someone identifying themselves as a “Convention Housing” organization or an “Expo Representative” offering lower rates for Convention at the Green Valley Ranch Resort & Spa, do not give them any credit card information as the Green Valley Ranch does not randomly call guests with offers like this, nor has the resort or WMA contracted with any convention housing organization! Do not provide any information or accept a confirmation number UNLESS you contacted Green Valley Ranch directly by calling 866.782.9487.

Guestroom Reservations

Please make your hotel reservations directly with the Green Valley Ranch. Get the nightly rate of $140 for run of house (Sunday through Thursday). The cut-off date for reservations is September 10th. Reservations received after September 10th will be accepted on a space-and-rate-availability basis. Available guest rooms are at a minimum as of September 10. Rates will increase to $230 per night after the block is gone.

Dates: October 7-10, 2018
By phone, use Group Name GCIWMA or click here.

You can make your reservation in one of two ways:

Make your reservation online by clicking on link above — it will take you directly to the hotel’s website specifically set up for WMA; or, call the hotel at 866.782.9487 to make your reservation over the phone using the Group Name GCIWMA.

Please be advised that all rates are per room, per night — single or double occupancy. Triple and quad occupancy will be charged $25 per person per night and will be added to your guest room for each guest aged 18 years or older. No further charges for guests under 18 years of age using existing bedding.

A resort fee of $15 per night plus tax will be applied to each guest room. This fee includes basic daily in-room internet (normally $13 per day), daily newspaper, scheduled shuttle to and from McCarran International Airport and the Strip, and admission to the exercise facility (normally $30 per day) at the resort.

Porterage and housekeeping gratuities will be at the discretion of the individual guest.

Culinary Union

Two years ago we brought to your attention the issues between Green Valley Ranch and the Culinary Union. WMA regrets this dispute, but we are confident it will not affect our convention, and we will continue to hold the convention at the property. If you are contacted by the Culinary Union, please know that you can ask to be removed from their phone and email list.

Golf Tournament

The Legacy Golf Club is this year’s home to WMA’s Convention & Expo golf tournament—a benefit for the Frank J. Evans Charitable Foundation. Designed by acclaimed golf course architect Arthur Hills, The Legacy Golf Club is an 18-hole, desert jewel highlighted by manicured playing conditions, multi-tiered fairways and large undulating greens. Stretching 7,233 yards from the professional tees, this memorable layout is a strong challenge for the scratch player, yet also accommodates the novice with well-spaced tee boxes and generous landing areas. Also notorious at this premier facility, is the “Devil’s Triangle.” Holes 11, 12, and 13 make for a devilish trio of exciting challenges. The Legacy has become synonymous in Las Vegas for providing country club-style services and amenities. In fact, The Legacy Golf Club was selected as one of the “Top 10 Courses You Can Play” in Nevada, by Golf Digest.

The course is located at 130 Par Excellence Drive, Henderson, NV 89074. Phone 702.897.2200. From Las Vegas Boulevard “The Strip”: Take I-15 South to 215 East exit Green Valley Parkway North. Go three stoplights to Wigwam turn right then take your first left into The Legacy Golf Club. Approximate driving time 15-25 minutes. From McCarran International Airport: Exit the airport stay to the right and follow signs to 215 East. Follow 215 East and exit Green Valley Parkway North. Go three stoplights to Wigwam turn right then take your first left into The Legacy Golf Club. Approximate driving time 10-20 minutes.

Your $160 golf tournament fee includes a boxed lunch, two drink tickets and round-trip transportation. Please indicate on the form whether you will use the shuttle.
